you seem to think anybody who criticizes BO must love current administration. not true. Shrub is a true retard of the highest order, and worthless POS to boot. but that doesn't mean BO can't worsen things.
55 trillion is simply NPV of estimated future payments. obviously US cannot make good on these liabilities, so the benefits they represent will be reduced and/or eliminated. there will be much moving-of-goalposts.
BO will bring on many more short-term and long-term liabilities, so situation will get much worse. only good thing is he will hopefully end war in Iraq, but i expect those goalposts also will be moved.
no candidate can deal with US fundamental problem, which is the fact that people here are overpaid relative to their talents and labor, compared to Asia. this, i believe, is the fundamental multi-decade domestic problem behind stagnant and/or declining real incomes since 1970s. Dems believe problem is due to too much money among rich, so raise taxes. that will reduce income disparity, to be sure, but fundamental problem will not be solved.
under Repugs, rich got richer while poor stayed same or got worse. under BO, everyone will get worse eventually, though rich will get worse more quickly and noticeably--providing Schadenfreude to liberals but not doing much for Walmart Greeters. unfortunately, truly rich will probably just leave or otherwise hide/obfuscate; upper middle class will take the hardest hit of any, relatively speaking. for ten years, i think very poorest 20% could benefit from BO's approach, before entire country begins falling apart. those with the ability to leave, will leave. |
