>>At one point, Terry Gross asks him how the McCain campaigns involvement may have affected the Troopergate investigation. Carey replies that for Sarah Palin, "It was a disaster."<<

To sidestep the Legislative Council's investigation, Palin filed a complaint against herself with the state Personnel Board. This alternative investigation is now snowballing, which calls to mind an old saying: "Be careful of what you wish for!" I think the McCain team had no idea what they were getting into with Palin's trooper issue, and just went into standard damage control mode. If McCain/Palin loses, perhaps some campaign insider(s) will dish the back story. Could make for an interesting and lucrative book deal.

>>I'm looking forward to listening to tomorrow's panel discussion on Carey's show. I hope I can get it over the web.<<

KSKA provides online listening, so you can hear "Anchorage Edition" at 7:30PM AKDT (11:30PM EDT) on Friday. If that's not convenient, you can listen to the archive later. I watch the show live on KAKM TV if I'm home.
