A cynical and stupid move by McCain. 21 times he said his name? using him as a 'symbol', and turns out a false one for the point he was trying to make. and the pavlov dogs of the media drooled and ran and wasted a day on the whole thing. I find it sad that it was as if there are not 10s of thousands of actual small business owners out there, in various fields, that they could take time to interview each day. and mix in a garment worker. and a farmer. and a student. etc. and they would be people with real lives. (I am sick of the 'the story' people are supposed to have, as if we are living in a novel rather than the world). anyways... and I would send out a reporter in the bizness no more than two years, so they are fresh from being that ubiquitous 'common person' and not yet emeshed in any inner circles and protecting their spot on the power food chain that is the politician/bigbizperson/pentagon/media.

Poor Joe was badly used. And I don't think he, as he worried, made a fool of himself with either his questions or answers. And he said at the end that now he understood he wouldn't pay more taxes at this time. It can be hard to figure that out for many people, including actual small biz owners, since false info is constantly being fed to them.

and... to try and get people to focus on lower taxes when we are still in two wars that very close to 100% of Americans have sacrificed not an iota for, and we have this financial mess that envelopes all of us and a good many of us have some degree of a part in creating (if only because we didn't storm Washington and Wall St years ago)... really gets me fried.

ooopsies. rant for the day and it is not yet 8am here. smile.
