RE: their K6's are not selling well - especially inside the boxes of Tier 2/3 PC

I have seen a lot of ads in the LA Times from local shops that build and market their own systems where they'll give you a choice of CPU (which is then the only difference in the system). Some of these only show a difference in price of about $40 for a K6 vs an MMX Pentium with the same clock speed. Who in their right mind would consider a non Intel chip to save $40 on an entire system?
