On the contrary Ted. Over the past few years I've gained an appreciation of just how difficult it is to be a journalist. The big names on TV, along with famous syndicated columnists like George Will and Paul Krugman, are really the exception. Most journalists would be happy to earn more than a teacher.

Its hard not to respect journalists like G. Will and D. Brooks and Eugene Robinson who try to be as objective as possible. I certainly don't agree with Will's or Brooks's ideology but I respect their professionalism.

Another journalist who seems to be coming into her own is C. Brown. All during the primaries I assumed she was Republican.....mainly because she's married to a GOP strategist and because she seemed completely neutral on both primaries. Only when Obama won did her professional mask slip off and I realized then she was for Obama. I haven't seen that side of her since. I have to respect journalists who try to be fair given how human nature can work against being fair.
