Nonsense. We are talking about small businesses, right? If there is a chance to make more money, they take it. No small business person is going to tell themselves "hmm, if I make that sale/take that work, I will have to pay additional taxes of more than 8% than I would if the tax code were different. So, do I do it or not?". No one is going to turn down work or stop working except in a theoretical model.

Real people just don't operate that way.
