I didn't find the editorial badly written at all.

I thought it made good points, and one has to remember that this is not a media outlet that maintains a leftward bias. Quite the contrary, in fact.

As they point out, they've watched Obama over the years. He isn't new to them, and he doesn't scare them. For very good reasons, they are endorsing the Democratic nominee for the first time in the history of the paper.

I'd love to hear how an open-minded person who has not yet decided who to vote for, such as our own Lane3, will view this endorsement.
