Regardless, the end result was relaxing the regulations, which included allowing securitisation of the loans. This means LESS govt. intervention, not more. If certain interests pressured NINJA loans, then it's up to good government to not allow them. I'm sure everyone would love no taxes, a chicken in every pot and free Hummers... Responsible govt. would oversee and regulate the industry, such as it is here in Canada.
