He's an ardent populist and gets carried away. Depending on topic, he can be quite sharp and thoughtful. I don't watch him often but I've seen both sides. I

'm not sure that what you perceived is right wing so much as vanilla populist. It happens that, in this case, the "little guy" was on the right. He gets exercised over the lefty issue of corporate treatment of little guy, too.
