Obama's courts
Saturday, October 18, 2008

The appalling lack of judgment Sen. Barack Obama has displayed throughout his life has grave implications should President Obama have the chance to nominate Supreme Court justices.

Mr. Obama's character -- his glaring Achilles' heel -- is a very important issue with long-term consequences. It should have been addressed well before now by Republican opponent Sen. John McCain.

Obama's questionable associations include unapologetic domestic terrorists such as William "Bill the Bomber" Ayers (a founder of the Weather Underground); the Rev. Jeremiah "God (expletive) America" Wright; and long-term Obama donor and slum-lord Antoin "Tony" Rezko, facing up to 20 years in prison for fraud, attempted bribery and money-laundering. And there are other characters, too.

Since Obama continually chooses poor associations, he must not be allowed to choose even one associate justice, especially since his definition of a judicial nominee is one who's a liberal activist all too willing to engage in more damaging social re-engineering.

The proper criteria include someone who interprets the meaning of the Constitution based on the Framers' intent -- not on the political agendas of special interests.

Barack Obama's audacity is frightening.
