Palin's talk about "pro-America" places in Amierca is not going to play well to independents. And though the republican base cares a lot about guns, god and fetuses, those are not the issues that independents seem focused on. For independent voters it's the economy, and international events- like our two active wars. Sadly for McCain, and his base, both those issues break for Obama. It will be interesting to see whether this election forces republicans to broaden their tiny tent, or whether they simply blame their defeat on the MSM and keep playing to their shrinking base. I certainly hope they do the latter...
