I just saw the pictures on TV. Having been on the same spot several times through the years, it actually choked me up a little. It's a beautiful and historic place right there on the river and that's quite a crowd considering the downtown location with no parking, etc. I'm eagerly watching MO and FLA. His trouble will be in southern MO. NW Arkansas, where I live, and SW MO are identical in terms of culture and voting patterns. Talk radio is burning up the airwaves right now in this area with ugly stuff. My county will still vote solidly Rep, but I'm seeing quite a few Obama yard signs in my neighborhood and not a single McCain sign yet. Very interesting.....there's a shift even here. It's been coming for awhile but slowly. I'd love to see Arkansas return to its Democratic roots, capable of producing great centrist legislators in the vein of J. William Fullbright and Bill Clinton.
