We have been round and round on TARP, no need to do it again. We'll know by inauguration if the mortgage security buying plan makes any actual difference, as opposed to the short-term knee-jerk market gyrations that followed its announcement.

It's like a doctor prescribing a new treatment while you are in the hospital and someone declaring it a failure because you got worse before they even hooked up the new IV.

After having my Mom in ICU for weeks last year, I appreciate what time and effective treatment can do to bring someone back from death's door.
