One of my favorite ACORN stories. One of too many. This story though, still does not do the justice to describing the experience of dealing with this group of socialists. Basically the attitude is the non-productive of the country need to rise up and take whats theirs from the evil producers. In 1984, the organization held its annual meeting in Dallas at the same time the Republican National Convention was held there. The group, which wanted to protest the convention, ended up suing the city of Dallas for financial help because so many members couldn’t afford the high hotel rates and they wanted similar resources the city gave those attending the convention
