It's called world history. Everywhere on the globe slavery existed hundreds of years ago - not just in the US. In fact, Africans themselves sold their brethren into slavery and didn't stop the practice until long past the US Civil War. During that war, tens of thousands of whites spilled their own blood to free American slaves. Why hasn't the black community ever acknowledged that sacrifice of life by so many of their fellow citizens? Obama's ancestors on the east coast of Kenya, sold their fellow Kenyans on the west coast to arab slavetraders. That's a fact of history.
