I don't agree with you. My opinion is that the civil case is the distraction and the side show, the main event has always been Costello vs. Hsu's personality battle. I am not saying that AVNT will be vindicated from this case, but if punishments are levied it would amount to no more than a slap on the hand. My reasons is that the court has no authority to enjoin many of the AVNT products not related to the case. Those product accounts for over 75% of AVNT's revenue. I think DAC's assesment is correct, the case will die down somewhat now that one of the principles characters of this traveling circus show has departed. This case was always been about Costello vs. Hsu. It was like this from the very beginning. Now that Costello has joined Milliken (what is he thinking anyway?), I expected CDN to tone down on its efforts against AVNT and leave it for the courts to decide. Hsu will be the only ones firing bullets now, if any bullets were to be fired. Costello's departure though is very suspecious to me. Why now? He has always been a man who thrives in direct line-of-fire battles like this. This is not like him. His leaving CDN is almost like CDN putting on a white flag on a stick so they can get ready to wave it. There might be something else going on inside CDN. CDN's culture is built on personality cults - that of Joe Costello. This is like Bill Gates leaving Microsoft or Philip Kahn leaving Borland (at its height). It is unthinkable to me. CDN with its present managment and corporate structure can not be run smoothly without a strong personality at the top (My opinion). I am not sure if Harding has been groomed for the job from day one. I am not so sure how else has the ability to run CDN the way it is. I am going to go as far to say (I could be very wrong), that they may soon be an internal power struggle inside CDN. Did Costello making threats against AVNT custmers (many of whom are also CDN customers) that bad of a move on his part? Perhaps he is avoiding an inevitable backlash by the big Japanese corporations who are responsible for 25% of CDN's revenue, which may very well force him out of a job anyway. Another new development in the CDN vs. AVNT saga. Now back to Microsoft vs. the world saga. Tell me that Microsoft is not guilty of preditory tactics against its competitors and I'll tell yout that you are out of your mind. - Chung
