I bet if you ask, no one here will say it's over. Dale comes to his conclusions very mathematically that McCain needs to run the table to win, and is optimistic based on that. I just went and played with the electoral maps and see the same thing, but until I hear that soprano aria, I won't be sure.

The rising level of frustration and anger on conservative threads is an indication, and the attacks on anything on the left that moves, also. There is an increasing number of articles from sources that Lindy used to find not acceptable- like NewsMax and WNetDaily. Poor Powell has been eviscerated for his endorsement. Obama, who was not the one to bring up Joe the Plumber nationally, is being blamed for the absurd interest in him, even being credited with the crazy "vetting" of him.

Did you know that Joe now has his own favorability rating?

That pretty much tells you the level at which some voters are functioning. It makes me despair that anyone took the time to listen to the careful laying out of his reasoning that Powell so responsibly did. Or bothers to read the actual analysis of the health or tax proposals on either side.

I am sure it has always been this way and I was just always too busy raising babies and making music to notice. I probably will live longer for that lack of stress, though.

But over? I don't think anyone is that confident at all. Mostly just very hopeful.
