Powell's son is protecting his job security as head of the FCC. Ironically it was John McCain who proposed Michael Powell to Pres Clinton for that position. Then his father stabs McCain in the back in hopes of securing a position with Obama. If nothing else, it's obvious Powells senior and junior are opportunists - ever ready to bow and scrape for a government job.
