Dedicated to Janice, who had to buy laundry detergent today... Yes. And now I feel strong enough to share it with all of you, every minute of it. First I realized taht I needed detergent. Then Perfect Eric and I discussed this urgent need. Then I thought and thought about the problems involved in purchasing detergent. What store to go to? What brand to buy? And of course the second to some extent depends upon the first, which only makes it more confusing and more fatiguing to think about, much less do!! Hours passed, but I did not stop thinking about it, because it was clear that sooner or later I would have to buy detergent. I consulted with Penni frequently about the matter, but am sorry in retrospect that I did not bore all of you with my agonizing inability to make even minor decisions or, in fact, to do anything constructive with my life. As I agonized, I thought about Princess Diana (my idol!!) who must have had many similar problems.
