Just heard NY Governor Patterson on NPR. If you haven't ever seen him, he's one of the sharpest and wittiest pols I've ever seen. He was talking about how, if he can't get the Feds to regulate them, he wants NY to regulate the derivatives market. He said that the kind of leveraged action that had brought us to this point wasn't going to be allowed in the future from Wall Street.
