Only in a general sense. There are many models across the globe, most of which you label "socialized". Many work as well as the US model, and by some measures, some even work better.

None works as well as the US model. There is no other health care system in the world that works as well as the US model. That's why people who can choose anyplace in the world to be treated for serious illnesses come here.

That's not changing the subject. That is pointing out there exists a litmus test. There is no other conceivable reason for voting against the most qualified candidate nominated in decades.


It was in the context of raising the top tax rate from 36% to 39%. Socialism that ain't. Redistributing the tax burden it is.

I suspect to someone who wants socialism, taking 40% of earnings from "wealthy" persons isn't socialism (plus 10% state, plus SS & Medicare which will be increased) -- well over 50% before you're done. Perhaps you want it all. To thinking people, it is socialism.
