That is the inference, for sure.

But my sample is small. I don't hear the "conservative" talking heads saying very much that is different, though. I saw Hugh Hewitt for the first time tonight on Larry King. He and another conservative talking head were saying with a straight face that the trend is "clearly" in McCain's favor now, quoting the Zogby poll that Mary is so concerned about. As if one or two national polls mean anything. The important state polls are still all Obama, but nevermind, that is just a detail.

But back to the point--if you or anyone else has heard any other reasons they give for Obama being ahead, please enlighten me. I suppose they will also say "Money." And some, to be fair, say it is just because of the economy and the Republican "toxic brand." Those reasons have some truth to them. And McCain has run a badly confused campaign.
