These kinds of close numbers, assuming they are reasonably accurate and don't hide things like the Bradley effect, make the ground game even more important. Given that, I just heard on Joe this morning, from Chuck Todd, that McCain has "no" ground game in Florida. And little or none in other key battleground states. And they are blaming their late start, surprised by getting the nomination, for that. But, of course, McCain, for all intents and purposes, got the nomination back after the Florida primary. Whatever, it does look as if one needs to add in the strong Obama ground game to considerations.
