Jim Bianco was asked on the strength in dollar versus the Euro, and why? His answer "I can give you 30reasons why the Dollar should be going down but I can give 40reasons for why the Euro should be going down. It's relative."
As i have said currency players are gamers, and they will play crap against crap. It is gaming.
How long can they play this gaming of crap versus crap???????? That the hard question. Bianco feels that when all these wildly inflationary policy work into the system and start to work, we see a race to get back into all commodities, and with Gold rocketing up.
We are STILL witnessing a deflationary movement because this wildly inflationary policy will take time to work. When it does: inflation begins to roar. Does he consider the possibility of this wild push to inflate fails. He sees it as unlikely, but it could be the case.
i have not yet heard Faber pin down when inflation re-ignites. He is certain it will happen but he now simply doesn't know the date. He now seems to be in accordance with Eric Janszen who simply said we will go from the present deflationary recession to a INFLATIONARY DEPRESSION sometime within the NEXT two years. A key point about Faber, in all his BTV appearances i have never heard him present what he sees as the final phase of all this, which to be frank is IN FACT Apocalyptic. Just look at the art work he has on his sight to see what thinks this is going in the loong run.(i attach one painting at end of this post)
Know matter what Faber says on TV, he will NOT scare people by speaking his personal belief that there will be, AT SOME POINT IN TIME(and in his lifetime--he is in his 50s) be a TOTAL GLOBAL FINANCIAL COLLAPSE, A collapse so total that there will be NO ASSET other than gold that isn't ultra depressed. Marc Faber belief which he periodically refers to in his newsletter, is ultimately , yes, catastrophic.
What he depicts, this utter collapse of ALL ASSETS except Gold, can only be perceived as a New Dark Ages.
This is based i suspect on what has become his fatalism that no one in charge will do the right thing, and i suspect he is beginning to think it is too late. *********************************************************** The Dance of Death
The Dance of Death Illustrations for this web site are taken from the series of paintings created by Kaspar Meglinger between 1626 and 1635 known as "The Dance of Death". The paintings are under the roof of Lucerne's Spreuer Bridge (completed in 1408) and bring forcibly to mind the transitory nature of life on earth.
