Republicans = Socialists.

It's hard to remember exactly how much money Republikan Socialists have provided in order to purchase how much of a stake in how many private companies. Right now, the Fed is acting like a commercial bank providing credit to corporations, stepping in when private banks are sitting on their hands extorting the US taxpayer.

AIG - $135 billion - 85% stake in the world's largest insurance company - now THAT's socialism
BS- $25 billion
Fannie and Freddie - $250 billion
9 Largest banks - $250 billion

Other 'socialist' activities by Republikans:

Increasing FDIC insurance at private banks, remaking mortgages at IndyMac, backstopping MMFs NAVs, buying up commercial paper, making loans to car companies, etc.

Republikans, in order to save private corporations and banks from their own bad behavior have advocated massive socialization of the financial system. This is the most...ever.

Republikans will never be able to use the word 'privatization' and 'socialism' with a straight face ever again. Republikans are the enemies of true capitalists as their utter corruption makes a mockery of the market.
