I have never seen anything anywhere about the process for certifying eligibility or formally/legally challenging eligibility to be president.

I imagine that particularly after an election except in the most obvious and definite cases, any challenge would be rejected.

As far as I know no one clearly ineligible has ever received a major party nomination or otherwise had a remotely serious chance to win the office.

I'm not really interested in terms of this election, because I see both candidates as clearly eligible. But it would be interesting to understand how the process does or would work.
