The use of a hot product to sell a commodity product is not a new concept -- see the Miata story. I wonder about the logic of offering a free 17" monitor to a system that a customer already expects to include.

A free Zip drive gives the customer a valuable add-on that they'll tell two friends about, and so on, and so on... BTW it really shocked me that you didn't like this promotion (:)
