MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Oct. 21, 2008) - DIOS EXPLORATION (TSX VENTURE: DOS.V) is happy to update its exploration progress on its wholly-owned Hotish uranium project in the Otish Basin, Quebec, Canada.

A reconnaissance program was completed to investigate seven selected geophysical targets on the extensive property. One of the first-priority geophysical targets, the Butte zone characterized by U/Th ratios of 2.1 times the background and extending a minimum of 2,5 km by 0,6 km was investigated in outcropping surface. Forty grab-samples were collected and nine (or 22.5%) assayed more than 0.06% U3O8, including 0.063, 0.064, 0.076, 0.076, 0.103, 0.105, 0.139, 0.225 and 0.23 % U3O8. Field readings (radiation solution RS-120) varying from 5,000 cps to 45, 000 cps (counts per seconds) characterize the Butte zone. The highest assays and counts are associated with biotite-rich samples.

A twelve-hole drilling program totalling 3,000 meters has just been completed on the same Butte zone over a 4km-strike length. Radioactive drill core is being processed at the Saskatchewan Research Council. Additional prospecting was also carried out on other targets and results are still pending. A major camp was built and DIOS is awaiting results and better weather to pursue the drilling campaign.

DIOS is in a good financial position and has the funds necessary (some 5.5 M$, non flow-through) to pursue its drilling programs in the years to come. This press release was prepared by M.-J. Girard, M.Sc. P.Geo., a qualified person pursuant to National Instrument 43-101. DIOS recently launched its new web site. www.diosexplo.com

The samples were collected and prepared by IOS Geoscientifiques Inc of Saguenay, Qc. They were assayed at the Saskatchewan Research Council.

The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
