If I buy a $ 10 us stock and it goes to $ 12, I make $ 2.00 US plus when converted back to CDN I actually receive $2.40 CDN.

If I buy a CDN stock and it performs the same, I receive $ 2.00 CDN.

You are assuming US stocks are overvalued vs. CDN. I don't agree. The caveat in my rational though is IF the US $ craters then my plans no hell.

In 1997-2000 it worked extremely well for me buying US stocks.
