Assuming that you are not being facetious... it must be that this was a period in which the US$ outperformed th C$. It was simply because the $ US was at a significant premium to the $ CDN. Equity profits were returned to me and when converted to CDN I realized a "bonus" in CDN $ on those profits that I wouldn't have if I had just profited on CDN denominated equities. Now...in order to see that same game played out, the US$ does not have to continue going up, just stay well spread from the CDN $ rate as it is now. This is happening now; do you see it continuing into the future ? This morning the C$ is worth less tha US$.80c. How low do you see it going ? I never believed the CDN dollar would drop this low. I find it hard to believe it will fall much/any further but.......... .
