"Less liberal people who accept on faith that Obama isn't so radical or won't govern as a radical contrary to the evidence."

It is astounding to me the number of people I know who are pro-market, small government, small 'L' libertarians yet enthusiastically support Obama and even defend his redistributionist tax policy (it's a 'tax cut' - you're for tax cuts, aren't you?), populist trade stance (he's not against free trade, he just wants fair trade and no trade deals with murderous RW regimes like Columbia), and big government programs (he's going to cut your health insurance cost, you know). These are otherwise intelligent, well educated, and as I said, economically/politically libertarian people. It's dumbfounding. Cognitive dissonance at work.
