As usual....the MSM perception that tradespeople don't understand taxes and economics is false. Unless a small business owner has been tutored in accounting, most of them hire a CPA or other type accountant to advise them on taxes.

So they not only have their end of year or quarterly, depending on the circumstances, accounting done professionally, they learn what is and is not deductible, and about the limits and boundaries of the tax code as it specifically applies to their type of company.

At least as much as a mere mortal can considering the burdensome complexity...ng.

Small business owners know if they cheat the IRS they're out of business, and have a very good handle on how the code affects their bottom line.

The ones who don't always fail.
