"Cause you know, CJ, the fact that the Graeme family didn't have granite kitchen counters makes all the difference in the world ..."

Ok, the untrue things that were said about the Frosts weren't lies. There were, uh, untruths....

That is the point, Tenchu. Who ever said that, didn't know. Probably was not in a position to know. That particular claim was part of the the overall narrative that the Frost's had renovated their home and it was valued in excess of $400k. Now granite counter tops are a lot more expensive than concrete ones. The idea they were trying to sell is that the Frost's were putting in expensive renovations instead of paying their kids medical bills.

As the article points out, the house isn't valued anywhere close to $400k. There weren't expensive renovations done. The value increase is well in line with the property valuation increase in their area.

And so on.
