Neo. Is it normal? Yes it is. Monthly MINIMUMS tend to be zeros for several YEARS around solar minimums, I forget how many, but I know at least 2-3 years back they were generally zeros, so I suspect that close to half the solar cycle has months with some zero minimums, so blank suns are not unusual, and of course, they are blank most the time during the minimum. One thing I have learned is that the sun rotates quite quickly Even more shocking, the thing doesn't all rotate at the same rate, but rather has latitude dependency. One swallow doesn't make a summer and two sunspots won't cause sunburn or global warming. No, sunspots won't cause global warming. This is fairly well known. CO2 does that. Even ye olde ice ages were not caused by sunspots, but rather by orbital dynamics, that was before man got involved in the process.
