What they will get are economic policies that turn out to be the worst possible for the current economy [and just about any economy period]....

What they would get is a massive expansion of gov't spending that will balloon the deficit

Do you think that the last 8 years in the US have seen sound economic policies?
Have the top level tax cuts resulted in any noticeable improvement in wealth for the majority, or an improvement in unemployment rates as a result of job creation and investment, or indeed an increase in productive investment?
For that matter, would you say the stock market verdict indicates satisfaction with the policies of the last 8 years? (My portfolio certainly doesn't...).

I'm assuming you accept as fact that the deficit has already ballooned in these 8 years, having started from a position of annual surplus at the turn of the century.
But would you contend that the economic and tax policies of the last 8 years have resulted in sounder fiscal underpinnings, will lead to a reduced deficit, or even show a trend of reducing deficits?

I would suggest that the economic policies espoused by Bush and the Republican party have singularly failed and show no signs of leading to improvement.
I don't see why you would want a continuation.
