I agree- it will be those raised earlier than the 70s who retain that mentality. Anyone who came of age during the 70s should be less prejudiced. And of course, by the time you get to my children (20s) age, it's a nonfactor.

the question with the younger voters is if they will get out there and vote. I know I have nagged at my two!

It looks as if Powell's endorsement didn't have an enormous effect, though it sure didn't hurt.

PRINCETON, NJ -- While 80% of registered voters are aware of former Secretary of State Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama for president, only 12% of this attentive group say the endorsement makes them more likely to vote for Obama, while 4% say it makes them less likely to vote for the Democratic nominee.
