I'm broke. I paid for the new roof last night which looks great! They have the sheet rock up already and we're ready to float and tape. Found some mold when we took out the bar that had water running down in between the wall. They kept tearing sheet rock out until they got 10 feet up by the fireplace. It's a mold convention in there. They didn't stop there, they kept tearing out sheet rock until they didn't see any more mold. That took out the entire ceiling in the living room, a master bedroom wall and the entire master ceiling.

My husband took pictures, called the adjuster and he said, I can't add that to what we have already written up. He said that claim is in the hands of his supervisor's supervisor. My husband told him, you're still responsible for paying for all this extra, the adjuster told him to make sure we got hard copies of the pictures and he would let them know. He also said, don't do anything by tear out for now, my husband told him, too late, everything has been treated and new sheet rock is already up. He said if I waited on you and State Farm to give me the go ahead, my whole entire house would be moldy.
He said, well, I guess you have to do what you think is best.

The biggest concern, and one we are worried about how much they say it's gonna cost to fix is the fireplace. We know water rained down in there for 10 hours. We know that it's still not very stable. That is going to be the biggest expense. All the unknown behind all that rock and brick.

I think I need to call the mortgage company and let them know that State Farm is putting their asset in jeopardy.
