IMO more like created thousands of government jobs. When will people get it through their thick skulls that the government doesn't actually create jobs, it makes people work for the government which has the opposite effect of creating wealth. It detracts from wealth because we the tax payers are paying for the new jobs, hence leave less wealth to do constructive things.

The only thing the gov't can do to 'help' create jobs is by influencing the business environment by taxing more or less and regulating more or less...... In other words the best thing that the gov't can do for business is get the hell out of the way.......
