Fuchi,
Re:>>Don't waste your money on Intel VX chip motherboard!<<

The M-Tech MIG 549 is not an intel based vx board. The chipset is made by Via and it's called a superTX. Apparently it has all the TX features without the "TX" limitations. And this mtech board can be purchased from realworld technologies for $79.

Steve Porter said another name for this chipset is the Vx97. I find that name to be a little misleading if it truly has the full TX feature set.

I was wondering if the superTX chipset is the AMD 640 or the VP3.

Anyway, as i mentioned, my friend just bought a PC Chips motherboard about a month ago and had nothing but trouble with it. He did purchase it from a reputable vendor who let him exchange it for a mustang 534 (plus the price difference of course). At least he didn't lose money. This is my only personal experience with PC Chips.

However, the txpro3 with 1 MB L2 cache is very intriguing. Do you know where i can buy it? This just might be worth a try.

Thanks,
steve h
