Nonsense.

For some people, it is the only way they're EVER going to receive care, because they simply will not go do it unless an emergency arises. My dad died that way; hadn't been to the doctor in years until the heart attack got him. He wouldn't have gone to the doctor if they paid him.

The idea that "prevention" is going to materially impact the total cost is silly. If you want to eliminate the massive costs of health care, quit treating cancer. And that's precisely what we'll do under the Obama plan. Because there will be no profit in making new chemo drugs, hence, there will BE no new drugs.

We've been installing a system in a small town (15k population) in which our customer, a 2 doctor FP clinic, just opened on last Monday. Already, they have stopped taking new Medicaid patients because they got all they're going to take. The waiting room is packed after a week. Why? Not enough docs in the town.

What happens when you make the practice of medicine even less profitable than it is today? How many of the brightest minds in the world are going to school for 12 years to become a physician when it doesn't pay as well as some other field?

You guys just don't get it. There is no free lunch.
