So any lender will need to have an approved and monitored capital ratio. That means I am "over-lending" right now as I have negligible cash on hand and certainly less than 1% of what I have loaned.

Perhaps it's a job creation scheme so that more bureaucrats can be hired. As expected, when things go wrong, the desire to not just stand there but do something will mean the actions intended to make things better will actually make things worse.

If the details are outside your expertise, how do you know that said regulations would be a good idea?
