Agree on exports and jobs, that works when markets are free and economy is not manipulated. Unfortunately that is not the case now, all these G20 countries are talking of coordinated action, but as things get really bad I am not if that will stay, it will more likely everyone for themselves. why? because that is human tendency when survival is at stake. Not only citizens lose faith in govt actions but countries will not trust each other if that happens; already enough reasons to do that with subprime episode. We are entering very uncharted territories and the captain does not know what to do so he is rapidly firing at anything that he perceives moving, may result in a lot of friendly fire :-(
