Yes, that's true - those words can be effective if used sparingly. When they're used on a habitual basis, they serve only to reflect badly on the person using them as a communication crutch. It's the same situation with hollywood films - if the writers are so verbally challenged, that they feel the need to insert F and other ignorant expletives every other word, a wise individual realizes the storyline in that film will be as lame as the language. Mediocrity breeds more mediocrity.
