Losing Newt in Congress wasn't good and it marked the beginning of the slide of Republicans away from the "Contract with America."

I'm mad at Republicans too, many of them. Larry Craig, for example. I don't know for a fact that the charges against him are true, but you don't see people going around trying to trick Orrin Hatch in airport restrooms. I'm one who thinks 'where there's smoke there's fire.'

I think we deserve better politicians, although I suppose a case could be made that we get the ones we deserve.

My Congress Woman voted against the bailout. I'm voting for her again. She got married and had a baby in office and has a great record. The NRA gave her an "A" rating too. Like Sarah Palin, she came from grounded beginnings.
