I don't know why but I've always been interested in the Edwardian and Victorian ages, Lousy time for medicine, although improving. Wonderful time for outlook on life, although maligned today. My two favorite series of novels about this time are "God is an Englishman" and it's sequels, by Delderfield and the "Flashman" series, by Frazer.
