The right has never seen a Rovian campaign lose before, so I think there is a lot of denial that manifests itself in the belief that all the smears must be gospel truth, and good will prevail over evil on election day. This is where 50.x% polarizing politics have brought us. I hope Obama gets the chance to be a real uniter if/when he is president and start to heal some of the ugly sores that Rove scraped and gouged into the American electorate with his gutter-turd approach.
