How 'bout legalizing marijuana (or all drugs)--cancel out money for drug enforcement and transfer half or more of it into intensive prevention and treatment, thereby reducing an unnecessary prison population, make quality courts and prisons and inhibit the incessant 'do-gooder' need to pay for all that top dollar cop-related stuff; have the feds conduct a national lottery, in concert with states; intensify a luxury tax on prestige-like items; make pharmaceutical companies pay for their own research; consider a maximum wage instead of a minumum wage (figure this into the tax system); negotiate a nuclear aresenal decline; try to lift instead of mold developing nations and, most of all, cease illegally invading nations where it's expensive to do so.

Not only all of the above, plus more, perhaps have more community-central related businesses rather than allowing our whole society to become Walmartized! In fact, I think I'll start a new thread: Have We Become Walmatized?
