I commend you for doing precisely what you did in helping your plumber friend. Hey, I've helped folks and folks have helped me--that's what best about living! I agree with you for small jobs and the like, especially if there's a support for where there might become a problem. But, frankly, I'd prefer the nuke plant and state office building plumbers be licensed--wouldn't you?
