I am the most non-religious conservative you'll ever meet, and I'd wager many, many conservatives are too.

And no disrespect towards you Partytime, but I'd expect more out of a tried and true "intellectually progressive" democrat. But............I think I see now that you represent a biased, secularist wing of the democrat party.

Well........we all have our biases.

This paranoia on the part of democrats is an interesting phenomena. It reminds me of what a very, very dear friend said the last time we met. She said..."I don't want my President to even mention the word 'GOD'." OK.........I understand......you have certain rules for your fellow human beings and they're not allowed to even mention the word God in your presence.

The first thing that entered my mind when she said that was how sorry I was for her. I couldn't help but think how shallow and intolerant that statement was.

Your statement is narrow and intolerant and stereotypes people. It implies that people who have faith in a higher being are bad.

Because I was told over and over again how compassionate and tolerant democrats are, I'm really disappointed in this narrow opinion and smearing of other people's beliefs.

I think religion gets in the way of politics thus causing an uninformed Republican political viewpoint due to the difficulties of getting past the religious hurdle.
