I've always seen that as wrong. In America, sentences should be DIRECTLY LINKED to the value of swag swiped.

For whatever genetic reasons, freedom loving Americans are consumed with the perception of force in interactions. If overt force is used, as opposed to deception, it makes all the difference in the world. What is odd to me, is that the segment of society that feels this way most strongly are the ones who call themselves Objectivists.
